Dog Boarding at Creature Comfort Inn

Creature Comfort Inn in Virginia's beautiful Shenandoah Valley has been designed as a premier pet resort. We built it with our own dogs and cats in mind, as a place where we'd feel totally comfortable leaving them for boarding.

Creature Comfort Inn's dog boarding facility is divided into two resident areas with 14 deluxe suites in each and connected with a fully equipped kitchen. Zone-controlled radiant in-floor heating throughout keeps your dogs warm in winter. Skylights, glass block in the walls and large windows provide ventilation and flood the rooms with natural light. Kuranda beds are provided for all dogs.

We designed the fronts of our suites with stainless steel and partitioned them with a very attractive, solid FRP panel which affords each dog privacy and insures no cross-contamination from other residents. Floors are bright, cheerful colors of commercial grade epoxy for total sanitation when cleaned. The Inn has central air conditioning for summer comfort as well as ceiling and automated exhaust fans to insure fresh air at all times. Music is played throughout the facility to help soothe and calm your pets during their stay.

Play and exercise is a daily activity for boarding dogs in one of our six large fenced play areas. In addition, there is a one-acre fenced area and a 4 acre field beyond it.

Our canine resident area is all indoor, providing 24 hr a day access to exercise/toilet areas for your dog. While this was a much more expensive construction process, we feel it important that dogs can move around if they want to or relieve themselves whenever they need to.

The large outdoor play/exercise areas (shown in the right sidebar at the top) provide an opportunity for real stimulation or just to lounge in the sun. Even at maximum capacity all dogs can be outside for a full hour or more each day.

Even with bathing, we have the comfort and security of your pet in mind. We installed a bathing tub specifically designed to bathe dogs, not people. Pull-out steps and a side-opening door allow your pet to just walk right up and in. The floor is completely flat to prevent dogs from slipping and sliding.

Does your dog enjoy a woodsy walk? Does he like to sniff and investigate new sights and smells? We have 8 1/2 acres completely fenced and a walking path around the entire perimeter. Daily walks are available for all residents up for the challenge.

Boarding fees for dogs: $25.00 per day; family discount $1.00/day off each pet. Intact male dogs over 1 year of age: $28.00 per day.
